Orange at Pineapple

This area is part of a historic district in Sarasota, Florida, at the corner of Orange and Pineapple Streets. The faces of buildings are showing the wear of time. What we are looking at in this scene is the outdoor extension of The Fountain Café. After the morning's paint-out, Anne and I spent time with a painting colleague over some lemonade and the most delicious goat cheese, spinach and artichoke pizza. Of course, the day was hot and sunny -- a typical "winter day" in Florida. Lucky us.
