Gaspereau Valley Farm at Exit10

Gaspereau Valley is wine country in Nova Scotia. Over the past few years vineyards have been cropping up all over, providing award-winning wines. I love the rolling hills of these farmlands. We decided to leave foggy Halifax in the morning and head out to sunnier landscapes. What a treat. Not too far from our paint-out site, on Ridge Road, lies the Hortons Ridge Malt House. A couple of years ago we were shown how they prepare their grain for brewing. Does beer drinking and painting go together? The brew house has a magnificent view of the Gaspereau Valley.
What appealed to me in this scene was the folding topography and quilted-patterns of farmlands.
