Lupins and Birch Trees

When the lupins bloom in June, it heralds summer. They bloom in gardens, on hillsides and along the side of roads. On this morning, there was a big area of lupins of blue, purple, and pink in front of a clump of white birch trees. I liked the different shapes of the lupines versus birches against the sky.
