Florida Woods

We went to a beautiful nature walk developed by a church in the local area. The path provides benches to sit and take in the quiet and some beautiful and creative plantings and artistic additions amid the natural vegetation of a Florida woods. Here I spotted the sunlight illuminating the palms and lived how some of the fronds caught the sunlight. My biggest challenge was to try and simplify the chaos of the bush. This tranquil path was introduced to me by a friend. The church she attends has made a beautiful trail through the tropical forest, ideal for meditation and thought. Around one turn, I was immediately taken by the sunlight streaming through the palm fronds and foliage. This became my subject. The colours I chose to include in the landscape, reflect the mood of the place and the silence.
