Dance of Sunlight and Shadows

I painted this scene near Sullivan’s Pond in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I loved how the morning sun hit the trees and created the shadow patterns along the grass. My aim here was to capture the sunlight. I hope you can feel the warmth.
