Myakka Lodge

Myakka State Park is a 40-minute drive away from our Florida home. At 37,000 acres there is plenty of room for alligators, boars, armadillos, wild birds, deer and more to roam various landscapes -- wetlands, prairies, hammocks, and pinelands. Close to the park's entrance is located this wonderful log cabin and shelter. A large live oak casts pleasing morning shadows across the structure. Here I used a limited colour palette (Burnt Sienna, Quinacridone Gold and Ultramarine Blue) and focused on my hardware store 1/4" bristle brush.
