An image of rocks and pines inspired from a photo taken in Maine by Gary Tucker. Here I painted granite rocks, focusing on their fractures and fissures. Because Nova Scotia shares similar landscapes to Maine, I should be able to find great plein air material when I get back up north. Anne and I have scheduled a painting week in Parrsboro in June and a painting week in the Margaree River Valley, Cape Breton, in September. Rock on!
