Beach at Anna Maria Island

We set off to paint early and drove out to AMI early, parked and got set up to paint. The shadows in the sand were beautiful! I set up my kit in the dunes, did my sketch. Got my painted ready and reached for my brushes. Guess what!?! I forgot to bring them! There was no way I could go home and back in under an hour, so I painted using my fingers, and crude “brushes” made from sticks and bits of old sea grass! This was the result!
