La Baie, Quebec, is the site where raw bauxite is unloaded for production of aluminum at nearby smelters. Industrial scenes attract me.
This watercolour was painted as part of "Footsteps East"; a 5,000 km en plein-air painting trip from Nova Scotia to Northern Lake Superior, and back.
