Batrix Island Twillingate

In the evening light, we set up to paint this scene of a huge island ( technically, an isthmus joined to the land by a tiny tether of beach) in the Back Harbour of Twillingate. I was drawn to the powerful shape of the rock against the sky and distant shore.
