Babbling Brook at Prospect Road

This was painted while perched on the gravel shoulder of the highway leading out of Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. Lumbering trucks rumbled by shaking my easel and kicking up dust. I did place an orange warning cone about 100m down the road (to slow them down) and persisted in capturing this pastoral setting. The babbling brook meandered alongside the silhouetted cows in the shade of a grove of trees in the distance. My watercolour was painted during PIPAF  2025 (Parrsboro International Plein Air Festival).
