Cottages Overlooking Five Islands

My final painting during our retreat, "All Fired Up", was of homes overlooking the Bay of Fundy at Five Islands Lighthouse Park. As this scene was a compositional challenge, I chose to highlight the roof of the building to the right in a mixture of phthalo blue and phthalo green. Some balance was applied to the lower left with splashes of paint. Almost every visit to this park has been windy. We both painted in the leeward side of our vehicle so our works would not be blown away. Well, almost. Anne, again, face-planted another of her oil paintings when done (second time during our retreat).
