Denison Farm

Here, I explored two colours to depict a farm scene near Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. Challenging my techniques in plein air can result in pleasing results (and colossal failures). If I'm learning, I'm on the right track. I'm sure Canada's Group of Seven artists explored, experimented and tested. What this piece has taught me is to explore more often, to be bold, to seek new plein air boundaries and to paint what I "feel". I know that some critics would say that this work does not accurately depict the farm. Sorry, I did not bring my camera. I brought my heart.
