On a chilly, windy morning we set out to paint somewhere along the coast. We struck out from our rented cabin to find a paint-out site and found one within two minutes. We drove up over a hill and this wonderful vista overlooking Margaree Harbour in Cape Breton opened up and beckoned "paint me ... paint me". So I did. The morning sun cast long shadows across the grass and the cliffs of Chimney Rock shone and the breakers rolled in . It was so windy, it was all we could do to keep the umbrellas from soaring and the panel and paints from becoming airborne. This was painted just days before Hurricane Fiona hit the area with devastating winds.
